Kathie Lee

Kathie Lee Gifford has made her return to daytime television. Considering that during most of her heyday on the "Reeeeeeeeeeg!" show was during my school years, I rarely saw her live. Only during the summers and/or during days we had off.

Barring the little problem she had with her clothes being made in a sweatshop or two (name me a big time manufacturer who doesn't have their clothes made in nearly identical situations, I'm telling you, it's rampant), I have never understood the nastiness directed towards her.

Tom Shales, who is a horrible tv critic at the Washington Post, routinely lampooned Gifford. There were others who scoffed at her ability, and at her personally...laughing behind her back.

Sure, she talked/talks WAY too much about her damn kids (especially that fucking Kody). Sure, she can be a bit over the top at times. But, I just don't get it.

She's a very talented woman. She has a terrific singing voice, tho I would NEVER buy any of her cd's. I think she's generally a nice person, who has gotten a raw deal. I wish her well in her new endeavor at the craphole that is the Today Show.

Finally, it's very simple. Don't like her, don't watch. There's a reason I don't listen to the Oxycontin-Addicted Limberger, nor the Orafice O'Reilly.
