On Cheney - a ghoulism thought

Seeing how the scars, the emotional and physical damage of the Viet Nam War are playing out politically here 4 decades past the hellish war...

And seeing how veterans were treated like shit by predominantly Republican Administrations...

And seeing how those very veterans tend to ironically vote Republican, and all "Patriotism" issues and war issues swing into the Republican plus column without serious thought by these veterans...

I have just had a brainstorm curiosity. As ghoulish, and sick as Cheney clearly must be, I ponder if he looked to re-establish a new constituency of veterans who were shoved into a meaningless, unwinnable war (see Vit Nam), will be indoctrinated of sorts to vote Republican, and subsequently be treated as trash by those Republican administrations.

All to engender a new population of Republican voters to replace the Viet Nam'ers who are beginning to die off, and maintain a hold on the American Democracy through a dogmatic viewpoint that has been taught to them (eg: brainwashing).

It's a sickening thought, and a dark thought, that while Cheney is evil...not sure he's THAT smart.

And the first person to lose a possible VP nomination is...

General Wesley Clark!!!

"I don't think riding in a fighter plane and getting shot down is a qualification to be president." - Clark

I happen to agree whole-heartedly, but you CANNOT say this on television during a Presidential race that SHOULD be an easy-to-moderate win.

This is the kind of shit that left-wing nut-jobs say, and don't get why they never get elected. Saying accurate, yet, stupid statements that question the ability of a man who was a POW to the freaking Viet Cong for YEARS, who was beaten, and tortured.

Shut up Clark! JEEZ!!

Unfortunate After-effect but...

Local Boston TV affiliates are currently reporting on a story that the Boston PD has had to have a presser about;

David Woodman, a 22 year old young man, died yesterday. This came 11 days after he was stopped and arrested for having an open container of alcohol during the celebration after the Celtics won their 17th NBA Championship.

Woodman was clearly intoxicated according to officers, and when they approached him, he attempted to flee. After a "short pursuit" the police caught up with Woodman, and subdued him, and after already having called for an EMS because he was intoxicated, Woodman showed signs of duress and they re-radioed the EMS when it became evident there was a bigger problem.

Woodman, who had a pre-existing heart condition, was drunk, ran from police, and was properly put to the ground by police. It's a sad occurrence, but baring a longer, more in-depth investigation, the parents suit which seemingly will be field for wrongful death (they've already hired a lawyer) should be immediately thrown out.

There is a basic rule, anyone and everyone knows: You don't run from the police. You will be caught, you will be physically hurt because they will TACKLE you to the ground, and in the wrong situation you could be shot.

It's sad, but Woodman had it coming. I have little sympathy for jackasses who drink themselves into a stupor and get busted for it. I take a very hard line against alcohol people...a very hard line. My position is simple, get busted for drinking a driving once, get your license suspended for 30 days. Get busted twice...license is gone for a year. Three times, gone for five. Fourth time...say bye bye to license for 30 years mo fo.

American's fascination with escape and drinking to excess has to stop, and it's not just young people who are to blame. It's the advertising companies, it's tv, it's movie, but more damning, it's parents themselves who glamorize and make it OK to drink to excess. Pathetic.

Shoving Baseballs

A few days after the incident where Shawn Chacon tackled and physically assaulted General Manager of the Houston Astros, and a few days after his subsequent dismissal/release from the team...we have "issues" of our own in Boston.

Manny Ramirez, perhaps one of the best right-handed hitters of our generation, who has (in my view) consistently through the past 5-6 year of his long career here in Boston showed a general malaise and uncaring about his performance...has apparently twice put his hands on a club employee this year.

Manny has always been an enigma. He has supreme talent and ability to hit a baseball, but he often loafs around right field, often doesn't hustle, and doesn't seem to care much about other things than his hitting stats in general. Good for the Sox, but also bad for the Sox. This from a guy making over $20 million per year to hit a baseball.

Manny has been known to pout like a baby when he doesn't get what he wants or is embarrassed by the club or booed by "fans", and frequently (more and more) requires "days off." These episodes through Manny's tenure here in Boston have led to his numbers not completely matching his hype because of his loafing personality.

But, a bigger problem has emerged. Manny is at the end of a long term contract where the Sox have some control over his ass. The Sox have the right to pick up successive one year options on his contract where Manny would make $20 million per year. Manny, despite his loafing, has never been accused of being stupid. Manny wants his freedom to get another big, long-term deal. He doesn't want to be strapped to the Sox.

He recently (before the season started), fired his long-time agent, and hired the known contract assassin Scott Boras. Boras is who you hire in baseball when you want the best deal and don't care where you play, you just want to get paid.

This makes me ponder whether Manny did the pushing of longtime Traveling Secretary and 66 year old (ex-cop) Jack McCormick in public on purpose in hopes the Sox would do what the Astros did to Chacon...and cut his butt from the team immediately...thus allowing Manny to hook-up Boras and get himself a long-term deal somewhere else. While the club isn't stupid enough to dump him when they are one of the biggest contenders to win the World Series again this year, perhaps Manny figures he can make enough of a stink and scene that the Sox refuse to pick up their option on him next year and allow Manny to get the moolah.

If this happens again, the Sox need to do more than what they did in this case. Allowing your people to be treated in such a way with no more than a slap on the wrist is inexcusable, even if it is our biggest/best hitter.

Crazy Energy Idea

Do you believe it's a great idea to fuck with volcanoes as a general rule? I do not.

I don't get this story. It appears that Alaska is preparing to open up bidding on land to explore the idea of harnessing volcano energy into a usable energy source to power the national grid.

This, totally seems crazy to me. Fucking with a volcano that has been dormant since 1992 seems like you are just begging for the shit to hit the fan. You couldn't pay me enough to take that job. But, good luck to them...I guess.

Why Dylan Klebold had a point

A few years ago I read in The Atlantic Monthly a little blurb on some research completed by some university in Calif. The research was on the psyche' of bullies and their own self-esteem. The prevailing knowledge had been that bullies suffered from a poor self-image, a poor self-esteem, and where just lashing out to hide their own insecurities. As those of us who were constantly bullied throughout his pre-college school life, we knew instinctively this was pure bullshit. The research showed that these bullies actually typically are type A personality-type who are very confident, very aggressive and seem to get some joy out of humiliating others.

Even as a liberal, I am leery of being too careful about being a baby. I railed against those stupid Rutgers basketball women that Imus called "Nappy Headed Ho's" because they needed to grow up and they needed to get a grip. I think once you reach a certain age, you need to be able to call BS and move on without starting a national incident over something as feeble as Imus' comments (almost has the effect of the boy crying wolf one too many times...call me when there's something to really be outraged about).

However, as this article shows from MSNBC a few days ago, bullies start their crap early and they only get more confident when they are allowed to get away with it. I have kicked a few students literally out of my room instantaneously when they showed such disrespect for a fellow student because you need to nip it in the bud early.

Again, as a teacher, I don't WANT to be the person doing this teaching; I shouldn't have to raise your kids for you. But, if your child says something to another child of that sort in my room and I catch it, you can be sure they will go down fast. And, if it keeps happening, I will call you, and if it still happens, I will resort to calling them out in the middle of the whole group. Even first graders.

Klebold and the Columbine kids got pissed and started shooting because they were being made fun of and they felt they had no other option. I do not endorse what Dylan did, nor other kids in school shootings, but as a student who was repeatedly bullied and laughed at in school...I can honestly say, there were times when I debated bringing a gun and killing the asshat(s) who were doing the bullying because I felt that was the only way I could get people's attention to my plight. Not to mention, I wanted them to feel for a good few seconds the terror I felt every day walking through those hallways trying to dodge all sorts of crap.

I was ankled at lunch, I had kids try to stuff me in a locker, I had one smash my head into a piano, I had another one grab my shirt where a collar would be and threaten me...all sorts of shit from middle school on up. I didn't have anything serious from grades K-5, but there was stuff, and kids are much more sophisticated these days.

Bullying has got to stop, and parents you must set a good example.

Imus - Redux

Quick note on Imus again spewing his mouth...and again, he is in the right here.

He asked his sports guy Warner Wolf during a telling about Adam "Pacman" Jones and his NUMEROUS problems since he'd been drafted into the NFL by the Titans..."What color is he?"

Then Wolf noted he was an African American.

Imus then replied, "Ha, well, then we know..."

Here's the thing, this maybe a stereotype that is not fair...but how many white athletes have had the LOOOONG rap sheet like black athletes...very few. This was fair for Imus to say, and ethical.

His lame excuse to get himself out of this situation, like his last excuse, is so unbelievable it's hilarious.

NOTE: I saw/read two other articles today that I intend to blog about later.

Darwin and race cars

I'm about to post something perhaps highly myopic, sinister, and dreadful...but I'm not here to be cute-n-fuzzy:

I think of NASCAR, Indy Car, "Funny Car", and other high-speed car racing as a Darwinian contest of sorts.

Two days ago, a funny car driver died (Scott Kalitta) when his "car" blew up in flames. I have little compassion for him. I find nothing in a race that are drag races to the tune of 300+mph funny. I find nothing endearing or particularly impressive about a driver of such a "car." Nothing but a glorified "my penis is bigger than yours" contest, where everyone loses because everyone's clearly a fuckwit.

Nor do I feel compassion for those who get whacked driving other types of cars at ridiculously high speeds. Much like golf, racing is not a sport. And unlike those horses who die everyday on race tracks around this land, these knuckleheads had the power of free will.

If you don't have sense enough to realize that you really shouldn't be driving anything on the ground that fast, then you deserve whatever ye get coming to you in my view.

After two deaths in 15 months, Eric Medlen & Kalitta, you'd think someone would wake the fuck up. In my view, these two morons were just begging to die, it was only a matter of time.

More proof horse-racing needs to end immediately

Per the AP News Service:

Jockey hurt and his horse whacked during first race at Churchill Downs in Kentuckay. Another horse was whacked during the 4th race at Churchill as well.

Interesting note, last line of the article: "A recent Associated Press survey found that thoroughbred racetracks in the U.S. reported more than three horse deaths a day last year and 5,000 since 2003, and the vast majority were put down after suffering devastating injuries on the track."

3 horse deaths a day???!!!...3 a day? Yeah, this is total bullshit.

Fantastic Quote #329

"The hottest places in hell are reserved for those who, in times of great moral crisis, maintain their neutrality."

-Dante Alighieri

Similar to one of my fave Christopher Hitchens' quotes: "A pacifist is an immoral position because it requires non-action towards evil."

Campaign Finance Reform and Obama

As he signaled as far back as April, Obama has decided to deny public financing for his Presidential campaign, and while he may take a few hits for this, I salute him.

So-called 527 Advertisements will be key to McCain's campaign and they will fight nasty. Thus, Obama will need all the cash he can grab to beat back those nasty ads.

Until the Court realizes that free speech shouldn't extend to these damn 527 organizations (and perhaps, the most active is currently a Democrat-leaning one) I think we should embrace private financing.

Dems should continue to built their internet network of small donors, who can be brought into the fold.

McCain has said he's play nice, but clearly he has lied. He can stop those 527 if he really wanted to, and he won't. Moreover, McCain himself has gone back and forth on this public financing issue. So, he has no leg to stand on in a real sense, and Obama or some Democrat-leaning 527 organization can swiftly put together an tv ad that uses McCain's own words against him on this.

Bring it on old man, bring it on.

17

CONGRATS to my Boston Celtics, who after going from worst to first during the regular season...have won their 17th NBA Title!!!!!

What a blow-out in game 4, kicking Kobe and his Laker-ass by nearly 40 points.

Next season will be a doozy as well.

This one, was for Red.

Call me a sucker

I watched with some reluctance the Al Gore speech/endorsement of Obama. I watched with reluctance because, what was the point of endorsing someone who, in fact, has it all locked up anyway.

However, after watching it I must say again...Gore, while I do hate him at times for how he ran his campaign (I hate Donna Brazile more, however), I must admit that I was riveted by his speech.

I can eat that shit up...a great political speech with fire, and spunk...hardy, har, har!

Charms/Quirks of Baseball - part one

One of the things I may like best about baseball is that it's very quirky. When looking at other popular organized sports (eg: basketball, football, and hockey) baseball is so odd in it's statistic heavy look, and also just the many ways the game of baseball is so weird.

My BoSox who are off to a good start this year, just finished last night a 3 game series in Cincinnati, Ohio that features a new ballpark ("The Great American Ballpark") that is what's called a "fanbox" in baseball lingo.

A fanbox is a small stadium that tends to be home to many homeruns because the walls the ball has to go over to be hit a homerun are short and/or not very deep when compared to the norm. Tonight, the Sox start another 3 game series, but this time they are in Philly to face off against the Phillies, which also features a small fanbox ballpark.

Here are some dimensions to illustrate my point:

The outfield dimensions of the ballpark in Cincy are:
Left-Center - 379 ft
Center Field - 404 ft
Right-Center - 370 ft

The outfield dimensions in Philly are:
Left-Center - 374 ft
Center Field - 401 ft
Right-Center - 369 ft

A pitcher's park is field that features a big, expansive outfield, which allows balls that may be a homerun in say Cincy, be a long flyball out. Some examples are:

Comerica park in Detroit:
Left-Center - 370 ft
Center Field - 420 ft
Right-Center - 365 ft

MinuteMaid Park in Houston:
Left-Center - 404 ft
Center Field - 435 ft
Right-Center - 373 ft

This is one stat that is kept track of and eventually quantified, as some parks are considered a good pitchers park because of the expansive outfield and/or the vast foul ball territory (the more foul ball territory, the more likely a foul ball is to be caught for an out and then the batter has no more pitches to possibly swing at and score runs on), and some are considered good hitters parks.

Despite this, players who play at home in such small fanboxes get an added advantage of a few extra doubles or, more likely, homers per year. While, pitchers who pitch in pitcher's parks get the benefit of having their earned run average look better than it possibly should.

Pet Peeve - Number 5,728

If you drive an automobile, picture yourself in said automobile.

Picture yourself driving your automobile onto a ramp and going down that cloverleaf turn and coming just near the bottom where you must merge with some oncoming, faster traffic.

Now, picture yourself in your automobile coming to a complete freaking stop!!!!

If you are one of the people who doesn't need to imagine it because you do it every day, then take a knife from your kitchen and stab yourself in your eye.

I've been driving a while and I have yet to see any semblance of a freaking STOP SIGN at the end off the cloverleaf!! I've seen a few yield signs which I think are moronic and I ignore, but never a full on STOP.

You are not supposed to stop people, you are supposed to keep moving so you can...and here's the keyword...MERGE!...with on-coming traffic. You cannot, by it's very definition be at a complete stop in your automobile and merge at the same time. It physically is impossible.

So, all you imbeciles out there who stop at the end of cloverleaf exits, I urge you to keep moving. PLEASE!! Otherwise, we may have to forcibly remove you from the gene pool.

Dad

It's been 14 years now...the Spring of '94 is perhaps the worst season I've ever had.

My father died over 14 years ago.

It's one of those things as a teenage in high school, I don't think you ever get over. Despite all the therapy I've done, all the work I've put into trying to move on, trying to forget...not remember what you have lost.

From his death, I gained a lot. Hard to explain without giving away too much, but it's mostly about how my mother has been able to kick around some money and really give me and my sister some serious support in times of need. With him around, I'm not sure she would have had that much freedom. Dad wasn't over bearing, it's just the sheer fact when you hold all the reins to the purse, it's easier to get shit done that sometimes needed to be done.

As with most everyone, I'd give all of what possible benefits I've gained back to see him again. To hear his voice, to feel those strong hands.

But, perhaps the most haunting thing of all concerns my eternal self-doubt, and my seemingly unending self-loathing. When your father dies before you've really become the man you were supposed to be, the man you have become...one is haunted by wonder of what he thinks of you. What he thinks of what you have become. Would he be proud, would he be ashamed to have you now as his son? What would he say?

The past few years, I have learned to forget to remember him on the day he died, but alternately through the year there are always those moments, that tickle the back of your mind...What would dad think about what you have done with yourself?

The pain does indeed dull with time, but oh does it fully hurt even now when you hit a moment that makes you realize fully what you have lost.

So, to those who have a dad, take this day and cherish it with your dad. I know I wish I could, and I'm sure Luke Russert wishes he could as well. Farewell Tim, farewell.

McCain Borderline

At this juncture, McCain is borderlining on the delusional. He is confused about Sunni and Shia. He's talking about Germany being like Iran or some crap.

He already has problems sounding reasonably intelligent when speaking on economic matters, something he admitted was not his forte many a moon ago.

But, his supposed "experience" on military questions is looking ever more questionable. Dems like my friend Heartlandish, Rachel Maddow, Johnathon Alter, whined and moaned about how Hill was tearing up the party allowing McCain to secure his support.

Well, the whole time I argued it wouldn't matter, and apparently, McCain has been sitting on his ass eating donuts since he got the nomination because he is seemingly so far out of touch, it's laughable. He not only didn't get much fundraising done beyond the "OOPS" moment of being photoged with Dubya, but he also has accomplished squat with the neocons. They aren't buying his lines, his tough talk, and now he's beginning to look very bad with any independent voters he could have possibly stole from Obama.

Wonder how much mental capacity he has left. Are we in a Reagan situation here where the man had/hid freakin Alzheimer's from the public while sitting in the most powerful seat in the world? Are we a few years into his potential administration from that happening?

He's either having a really bad month, or he's losing it...literally.

Number 17

The Celtics. AHHHHH YES!!

Championship number 17 is within smelling distance. In a best of seven series, my Celts are up 2 games to none on their arch-rival L.A. Lakers.

With games 3, 4, & 5 in L.A., the Celts need to realistically win one of those to bring the series back to Boston for a final game 6 and/or 7.

Tonight's game 3 is a virtual-lock for the Lakers. They will get all the foul calls, and the officials will give them every chance to win.

The NBA still has problems that, i say again, Commissioner David Stern has done a masterful job of covering-up and/or dismissing outright.

Another problem I see is the policy of paying the playoff referees by the game instead of a lump sum for that particular round. This policy puts in motion a psychological deference by officials to ensure the playoffs last as long as possible because the more games played, the more money they potentially can make.

And with all the gambling these officials have apparently been doing (which was NOT disputed but even admitted to by Stern) must mean they are not making as much money as they'd like (even though they are fairly well paid)...which only exacerbates this conflict of interest come playoff basketball time.

Nonetheless, I give this game to the Lakers tonight, but my Celts will win the NBA Championship in 6 games.

Shortlist

Leaked? tonight were some potential candidates on Obama's shortlist of VP possibilities. Included in the list of 16 are names like: Bayh, Kerry, Edwards, Biden. All four of those names, I surely hope, are a joke. Bayh is a boring-ass fuck, who WILL NOT carry Indiana. Kerry doesn't do squat either. Edwards has publicly said he doesn't want it, and my boy had his chance in '04; You can't pick either of the '04 losers. Finally, Biden? Seriously? I like Biden, but the man is notorious for having diarrhea of the mouth, NOT someone you want on a ticket.

Despite my annoyance, I'd be willing to bet that the Kerry, Edwards additions are both kiss-ass additions and are token.

The long wait...

...has only just begun for Democrats. The next 5 months CANNOT go fast enough.

Congrats to Obama on a job well done. Now get that ass cracking on locking up some of those key battleground states.

Call me cruel if ye wish, but...

(part deux)

Ed McMahon is apparently in danger of losing his home, becoming like the other 1 million homeowners who have been foreclosed on.

He's defaulted on his $4.8 million mansion in Beverly Hills, California. I feel sorry for million plus homeowners who are getting screwed (foreclosed on) to the wall by these home mortgage companies who clearly have the ethics of a gnat.

However, I don't feel sorry for Ed. I like Ed. I wish Ed well in his neck recovery. But, your expecting me to help YOU save your mansion?...brother...please!!!

Even some of those million plus homeowners had it coming. I've read stories where people were CLEARLY and blatantly buying beyond their means, to the tune of buying a second house that they really couldn't afford.

A house and real estate is supposed to be an investment, via building equity. This is true. But, there comes a point when one gets too greedy in trying to build "wealth" and not lockup money they could put in a solid mutual fund to protect their ass when the shit hits the proverbial fan.

The whole "wealth" concept makes me want to puke anyways. All these scams on television claiming you can build "wealth." You know what "wealth" is? It's a number on a peice of paper...it's not cold, harsh, cash.

Hillary's great manuever

Chris Matthews just made a solid point on MSNBC...with the maneuver/speech we expect from Hill in the days forward where she will make it clear in so many words that she's open (wanting) the VP slot...Obama will have to snub her to get out from under this maneuver.

If he does so, it would be a helluvah maneuver to keep her supporters (like I am/was) from turning on him after she opened her heart to him.

A "No Duh!" Moment

I am no doctor...however, I do play one online.

Raise your hand if your one of those people who uses that Purell (or cheap knock-off equiv.) to clean your hands.

*If you could see me now, my hand is not raised.*

People in this country have become WAAAAY too germ-phobic, and the ever-willing chemical industry has seized on those fears to over-hype and manufacture a crisis that does not exist.

I've been working in schools full time for over three years. You want to know how many times I've been sick with some type of cold? Maybe one, perhaps 2...and they were mini-colds that never lasted long.

I don't use that Purell crap, and I'm one of those people who washes their hands with this revolutionary stuff called...uhh...soap and water! Heard of it?!?!?!

Germs are good for you in some respects people. And here's the straight-dope...here's the proof.

British researchers have come out and said that those disinfectant wipes people often use to "clean" surfaces are creating a bigger problem. Those wipes often catch a good chunk of bacteria, but they cannot catch them all, and in some cases, there has been cross pollination (my way of putting it) between bacteria.

This has caused those infamous superbugs you may or may not have been hearing about...it's become increasingly a big problem in hospitals, and perhaps those cruise ship sicknesses.

In fairness, near then end of the article I linked to they note that the use of wipes ONCE on a surface, appears to be the most effective route. But, I still think these wipes are causing more of a problem than helping.

When you start to get microbial germs mutating and being able to defeat today's medicine...that should signal a warning that we are pushing the limit here.

The lack of sleep and sleep deprivation in this country because people are working like dogs, is more likely the cause of the lowered immune systems, causing people to be more susceptible to the common cold...so, people turn to these damn wipes and gels. Not to mention bad nutrition, a bad medical industry that only concerns itself with damage control as opposed to prevention, the shit will eventually hit the fan.

Epitomy...

What a jackass. Need I say more?

Lord Stanley's OT

As I type, I am staying up WELL beyond my bedtime to watch NHL playoff hockey. The best playoff (while baseball is my fave sport) is hockey...hands-down...bar-none.

My Detroit Red Wings are up in this seven game series for Lord Stanley's Cup, the most awe-inspiring trophy, and coolest championship trophy of them all, to the tune of 3 games to 1.

We are currently in the intermission between the first overtime period, ready to start overtime sudden death number 2.

Nothing in the world of sports is better than this...playoff, sudden death overtime hockey.

Nothing is better than playoff, sudden death overtime hockey where Lord Stanley's Cup can be won by a team.

The only thing better than this moment in sport, is game seven, series tied, playoff, sudden death overtime hockey where the first one to score wins the Cup.

This is worth staying up for no matter how long it takes...edge of your seat, back and forth excitement.

GO WINGS!!!

Piety & Gordon Gecko

I feel as if some movie producer should come along and make a movie along the lines of Wall Street with a Michael Douglas-like character (Gordon Gecko).

The church-going fuckwits in this country have some nerve. As an atheist I abhor 99% of all organized religions.

But, to do to Obama what the media and the majority of the public have done to this man and his "religion" is slightly crazy to say the least.

He just resigned from his church, of over 20 years I think it was, because yet another "pastor/reverend" said something mocking Hillary, while Obama was NO WHERE near the damn proceedings.

I freely admit my tamarity here...as I think McCain should be busted for what Hagee and that other nitwit he courted said. But, therein lies the difference. McCain courted those whack jobs knowing full well what they'd said and fully aware of their whacko-dom.

But, what the religious puritanism of this country, which consistently nips us atheists and non-believers, has done to Obama is shameful.

This is yet another example of what a hold this group has on the power structures at all levels, in all disciplines of the country. They have taken a man, who freely acknowledges his belief (crazy, tho I believe it to be) in a "God." But, that's not quite good enough for these self-flaggelating bastards...they want him to kiss their ass and embrace a very narrow view of what they believe religion should be.

To make any issue out of the mocking Hillary man is obtuse and obscene...this from a Hillary fan who didn't much care for the man's hysterics. The man made some plausible arguments; that Hillary thought she was the front-runner, thought that she was the person to beat and YES...quite frankly, she was white.

Hill had no reason to assume Obama would overtake her. And he didn't until she had that first minor stumble waaaaay back in January or something. She had one minor misstep that, while the door was creaked open already for the surging Obama numbers, swung that door wide open and caused people to take that second look at Obama and lead him to take her over.

As lame an attack as this reverend/pastor's was from Obama's church on Hillary...Obama was not responsible for his actions or words. And to make him as such is lame, cheap, and below what national politics should be about.

So, yeah. Some smart, crafty movie producer needs to develop a movie that exposes the VERY soft, VERY insecure underbelly of the religious "PC Police" in this country and expose them for the complete frauds that they are. And show how they control sooooo much, and how people should be ashamed of themselves for letting this bullshit stand.
