Iran and Russia

Iran and their nuclear weapons. Perhaps the biggest reason not to go into Iraq and topple the powerless Saddham besides the loss of 4,000 of US troops (not to mention the MANY injured)...was the power Iran and have been handed with kid gloves.

The last meeting between Putin and Dubya was a total joke. Anyone with a brain could've seen nothing was going to be accomplished, Putin and Dubya are both leaving office, but Putin still holds power by a factor of a bazillion over Dubya.

The whack-job in Iran, Ahmadinejad, has also been given a virtual pass to do as he sees fit with his hellhole, errrr...country. "Ahmadinejad said scientists were putting 6,000 new centrifuges into place, about twice the current number, and testing a new type that works five times faster." This quote from this AP story, is cute and lovely.

I am no scientist. However, from my meager brain, I know that this cannot be a good thing. Despite the U.N. Security Council says that Iran has continually over-stated their capabilities, the rhetoric is bad enough.

If true, or even half true, this could prove to be a bad, bad precedent.
