I don't know about this financial disclosure thing. I get why we insist upon candidates to offer up their tax returns for the last x number of years.
However, I just don't get why this should be such a huge story, barring something completely insane; Like...perhaps...being financially too close to a Saudi Royal Prince. Or donating money explicitly to a terrorist organization.
I just don't get why it's relevant that Hillary make x million from her book sales in 2006, and that Bill make x million from public speaking contracts, etc, etc.
People that run for the Presidency often have a ton of money somehow, because in order to get the financial support, you have to rub shoulders with those people. Thus, you'd be part of that crowd and your money would reflect that reality.
Get over it America. Let's move onto meaningful topics to explore when it comes to choosing the next American President.
