Boston's Metro System Overreacts

The Boston Metro system has violently overreacted to the dude who was recently convicted in NYC for groping a woman. This after getting paroled after groping women 53 times previously.

Two days ago the MBTA formally announced they were launching an ad campaign to curb this nefarious behavior.

I'm fine with prosecuting people who flash people on the metro systems in our country, tho I find it largely innocuous and harmless unless you're exposing yourself to a minor. Some asshat wants to flash me, I wouldn't enjoy seeing his penis...but, you can be sure I'd laugh my ass of at him. Some chick wants to flash her breasts at me...well...no comment.

However, here's the rub...literally: "One ad show a young woman standing on a bus or train squeezed between two larger, anonymous bodies opposite the words, 'Rub against me and I'll expose you.'"

Are you freaking kidding me?? Whether you've gone to a sporting event or not in downtown Boston, you assuredly have been caught in the metro foot/body traffic. Even if you haven't been caught, try getting on the metro in Chicago, New York, and yes...Boston. You'll find much the same thing, I imagine.

Often bodies are tightly squished in to maximize the number of people you can transport. It's that ol' college game, "How many people can we fit into a shower?" Only, this is no shower, and this isn't a game.

I will admit to being on a metro when it's been packed to the gills before. I've been on one when I was standing up and I was smashed between two lovely ladies, where one was wearing some fantastic perfume. I will also admit to never actually "copping a feel," but damn have I wanted to.

The thing is, when you stop/start on the metro while standing, you often end up not just rubbing against the other people, you often can be thrust backwards into someone else's thighs or a woman's breasts.

To then turn around and prosecute my ass when your asinine system doesn't have enough trains to cart people around safely is unfair, and it's stupid. I'm assuming the MBTA will blow their wad...errr...steam on this bullshit issue and will go back to normal after 2 weeks or so. This is a stupid policy, and even more stupid to enforce.
