Baby Boomers Sticking It to the MAN...the MAN being their children

Interesting article, or press report here. According to Census data in Canada, younger people continue to be screwed by Baby Boomers. The generation that went through the 60s, felt tremendous guilt for doing so, became radicalized religious, sex-deprived, right-winger, moralists...who consistently claim they want their children to have it better than they did...continue to belie their own words through their actions.

Middle managers, and corporate executives, often in that Baby Boomer age, continue to hog all the wealth, demand tax cuts for their SUVs, and continue to support this ridiculous idea of a "War on Drugs" (while keeping alcohol, mind you)...keep giving their peers offspring shitty jobs at shitty pay.

A key graft: "Across all age groups, median salaries for full-time workers have changed little in 25 years. Workers today make, on average, a mere $53 more than they did in 1980, when adjusted for inflation..."

So, all that work, all that moralizing has lead to a whopping $53 more a year for doing the same type of job, if not more so because people are now expected to work from home, deal with e-mail, etc, etc. Thanks a ton there BB's.

The BB's are anathema to me. I loathe them despite having a mother whom I dearly love and adore, and I owe a lot. I mostly abhor their sexual and drug politics.

Clearly the Generation X & Yers are not the hardest working generation, and we can be very ego-centric, but you raised us. The BBs need to let go of their phobias, and give people a fair wage...my goodness.
