Bush again fumbles the meaning of a word

"Appeasement" is largely considered to be something like: "to yield or concede to the belligerent demands of (a nation, group, person, etc.) in a conciliatory effort, sometimes at the expense of justice or other principles."

To just sit down and TALK with another leader such as the whack-job in Iran, may be a very subtle form of appeasement because the UK and France (I believe) are both opposed to even talking to him at this point.

On this point, good grief, I don't totally disagree with Bush and say Obama must not just meet with Iran's whacko without some serious ground rules.

However, what does Bush call it when he met with the President of China in 2003 and in 2006? Perhaps a bad example, but my point is made...badly.

To just talk about something CAN mean you are meeting at the expense of a previously set principle, but Bush is being a jerk in this case.

Final note, former President Carter...shut the heck up. Obama doesn't need your help, he doesn't want your help at this juncture. To open your mouth will make Obama look weak because you were such a shitty President.
