Do you believe it's a great idea to fuck with volcanoes as a general rule? I do not.
I don't get this story. It appears that Alaska is preparing to open up bidding on land to explore the idea of harnessing volcano energy into a usable energy source to power the national grid.
This, totally seems crazy to me. Fucking with a volcano that has been dormant since 1992 seems like you are just begging for the shit to hit the fan. You couldn't pay me enough to take that job. But, good luck to them...I guess.

Actually, I think this might be a very good idea. If they can harness the power, they can probably relieve the volcano pressure in the meantime. At least, that's what sounds logical to me. And it's being done already in other geothermally-active areas of the world.
I think they should try almost anything to get OFF the oil and stop stripping the planet of coal and oil. What happens to all the empty space inside the earth that used to hold oil? (LOL, that sounds like a George Carlin question if I ever heard one!)
Seriously, if they can find some energy to harness that won't tear up the planet or cause wars, I'm all for it. I'm sure it won't be long until they start investigating how to make weapons from it, though.
P.S. No fun, but health problems are keeping me down a bit and messing with my concentration. I'm hoping things will be looking up soon. Thanks for asking. :)
