Piety & Gordon Gecko

I feel as if some movie producer should come along and make a movie along the lines of Wall Street with a Michael Douglas-like character (Gordon Gecko).

The church-going fuckwits in this country have some nerve. As an atheist I abhor 99% of all organized religions.

But, to do to Obama what the media and the majority of the public have done to this man and his "religion" is slightly crazy to say the least.

He just resigned from his church, of over 20 years I think it was, because yet another "pastor/reverend" said something mocking Hillary, while Obama was NO WHERE near the damn proceedings.

I freely admit my tamarity here...as I think McCain should be busted for what Hagee and that other nitwit he courted said. But, therein lies the difference. McCain courted those whack jobs knowing full well what they'd said and fully aware of their whacko-dom.

But, what the religious puritanism of this country, which consistently nips us atheists and non-believers, has done to Obama is shameful.

This is yet another example of what a hold this group has on the power structures at all levels, in all disciplines of the country. They have taken a man, who freely acknowledges his belief (crazy, tho I believe it to be) in a "God." But, that's not quite good enough for these self-flaggelating bastards...they want him to kiss their ass and embrace a very narrow view of what they believe religion should be.

To make any issue out of the mocking Hillary man is obtuse and obscene...this from a Hillary fan who didn't much care for the man's hysterics. The man made some plausible arguments; that Hillary thought she was the front-runner, thought that she was the person to beat and YES...quite frankly, she was white.

Hill had no reason to assume Obama would overtake her. And he didn't until she had that first minor stumble waaaaay back in January or something. She had one minor misstep that, while the door was creaked open already for the surging Obama numbers, swung that door wide open and caused people to take that second look at Obama and lead him to take her over.

As lame an attack as this reverend/pastor's was from Obama's church on Hillary...Obama was not responsible for his actions or words. And to make him as such is lame, cheap, and below what national politics should be about.

So, yeah. Some smart, crafty movie producer needs to develop a movie that exposes the VERY soft, VERY insecure underbelly of the religious "PC Police" in this country and expose them for the complete frauds that they are. And show how they control sooooo much, and how people should be ashamed of themselves for letting this bullshit stand.
