On Cheney - a ghoulism thought

Seeing how the scars, the emotional and physical damage of the Viet Nam War are playing out politically here 4 decades past the hellish war...

And seeing how veterans were treated like shit by predominantly Republican Administrations...

And seeing how those very veterans tend to ironically vote Republican, and all "Patriotism" issues and war issues swing into the Republican plus column without serious thought by these veterans...

I have just had a brainstorm curiosity. As ghoulish, and sick as Cheney clearly must be, I ponder if he looked to re-establish a new constituency of veterans who were shoved into a meaningless, unwinnable war (see Vit Nam), will be indoctrinated of sorts to vote Republican, and subsequently be treated as trash by those Republican administrations.

All to engender a new population of Republican voters to replace the Viet Nam'ers who are beginning to die off, and maintain a hold on the American Democracy through a dogmatic viewpoint that has been taught to them (eg: brainwashing).

It's a sickening thought, and a dark thought, that while Cheney is evil...not sure he's THAT smart.
