The squander hierarchy

"Squander" - in baseball this usually refers to a situation where the team batting has several men on base and has a chance to score some runs with one base hit, so usually there's people on 2nd and 3rd base.

There should be a hierarchy of squanders for each level of game, in my view.

A "squander" - should refer to this happening during the first nine-tenths of the regular season games.

A "big squander" - should refer to this happening during the last tenth of the regular season games.

A "huge squander" - should refer to this happening during the Divisional Series during the post season games.

A "colossal squander" - should refer to this happening during the Championship Series during the post season games.

And, an "epic squander" - should refer to this happening during the World Series.

Right now, my Boston Red Sox have had several colossal squanders in the past 3 games...and boy has it hurt like a mo-fo.
